Here's a list of movies I present to you. I liked them and keep them to watch again again to get inspired when it comes to, sometimes designing the structure, sometimes characters and characterization, sometimes dialogues, and sometimes just for the heck of watching a good movie. 👍🙏 Nice list.
Some I have watched and some not watched yet.
Would suggest 3 ( may not be the ultimate or top 3 in my list.
Drama- Scent of a Woman. Simple, tough and believable characters. Uncomplicated storyline with gradual escalation of stakes and conflicts, ending in a logical exciting climax. Great dialogues.
Crime Thriller- No Country for Old Men. A bit complicated story line keeping the viewer at the edge of the seat with unanticipated twists. Great gritty characters made believable through careful scripting.
Horror Thriller- Jeepers Creepers 1, 2 & 3 (forget director/script writer is controversial)- A carefully designed 'supernatural antagonist' , again carefully revealed in parts over the 3 films. Scares are a bit different from those we see in a usual horror film. Even for a horror film, most of the characters are well etched.
There is a lesson for how a script writet should carefully and cleverly handle even a seemingly plain action scene and the minute care given to the character/ scene is evident in a particular scene bit at almost 1 hr 26 min in Jeepers Creepers 3.
These are awesome movies, Ajith. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks sir.🙏
Please correct if my comments about those films are not proper.
If somebody has watched Jeepers Creepers 3, he/she can tell us what that particular scene bit I was talking about...
