When creating a script for a regional language movie / story, which is the best way it should be written in ? English or in the regional language ? What if the screenwriter is comfortable in writing the dialogue portion in regional language (but typed in English) and rest of the script in English. Is it normally done in movies ? and then translated to regional language to provide to other cast ?
Just saw the below article recently........ đ

Fully endorse your view, Arun. In one of the online webinars recently, I've mentioned it too. The major issue writing for regional/vernacular screenplays is the right font and size. If we match the vernacular font and size with the universal screenwriting font and size, problem is well addressed. Otherwise, it's better to write or transliterate the words in English first, so the one-page-one-minute concept works. Later, we can translate the whole document to the vernacular, so the time-plans per page works even if the page numbers are more or less.
